Pure Textile
Title: Live-in clothes
Fabrics are soft, fall in folds, create closeness or transparency, warmth or coolness. Besides adding personality to a room, they define the character of the seating too - it is fabrics that forge the link between room and furniture. In times when avant-garde and wallpaper are no longer automatically a contradiction in terms, textiles are increasingly coming to the fore of interior design and under the spotlight of furniture designers.
For many designers, the question of which material to use is increasingly becoming the starting point of their work. It not only determines the sustainability and processing technologies but a product's entire aesthetic language as well. In fact, the characteristic volume of wood, synthetic fibres or textiles often even appears to dictate the form, and sometimes it almost seems as if the heavenly textiles are perfectly content with their own company. Filigree fabrics and cloud-like paravent screens blur the boundaries between textiles and furniture even further.
