The talent forum [D3] Design talents is always a pretty unconventional affair. In the midst of the hustle and bustle of the international furnishing fair imm cologne, young designers from all over the world present their original product ideas alongside the big names of the interior design sector.

Meanwhile everyone just calls it “D3”. They’re not referring to one of the iconic androids from cult movie Star Wars, but to the imm cologne’s newcomer forum with its formats D3 Contest, D3 Professionals and D3 Schools. Under this umbrella, the trade fair will be bringing together creative impulses from the young design scene for the sixth time. Colleges, students, young professionals and successful up-and-coming designers are given the opportunity to present themselves on an important international stage – on an equal footing with the sector’s established major players, but not in competition with the presentations and event culture of the dominant brand-name manufacturers. For visitors to the imm cologne, D3 Design talents has developed into a real highlight in recent years, bringing fresh impetus to the interior design sector with creative ideas, abundant talent and fresh perspectives.
