Statements Villeroy & Boch
The trend towards conscious consumption and more sustainability has arrived in the kitchen as well. How does your company approach this issue?
Protecting the environment is an important part of Villeroy & Boch’s corporate strategy. Our multifaceted ecological commitment and sustainability-based orientation have their roots in a long tradition that goes back to the founding of the company in 1748. Today, environmental protection is integrated into the process chain; eco-friendly products and a whole series of ecology-related research projects are key to our environmental commitment. At all of its production plants, for instance, Villeroy & Boch helps lower energy, water and resource consumption by factoring environmental protection into its processes. In addition to that, the company's innovation and research activities mean we are working on concepts for eco-compatible products all the time.
When it comes to the production and disposal of our sinks, ceramic is a particularly eco-compatible substance because it is made entirely of natural raw materials and is completely recyclable. Our premium ceramic sinks are durable brand-name, quality products and are thus sustainable in a very special way. And: All of Villeroy & Boch’s sinks are equipped with CeramicPlus as a standard feature. This special finish makes it almost impossible for water, oil and dirt to cling to the surface and they simply drain away. Even stubborn dirt and limescale can easily be removed with a damp cloth and a little washing-up liquid, making aggressive detergents superfluous. That makes the day-to-day washing-up easier, reduces the amount of effort and water needed, saves money and is good for the environment.
